You Ain’t Black!!!

If hindsight is 2020, and we can’t predict the future, then hope and wisdom is all we have. A percentage of us are finding it difficult to remember that we’re even in an election year, since 5 months have already been eaten up by the coronavirus. Our economy is in the tank, we don’t know if there will be another wave of Covid-19 and oh yeah, who’s going to be the next president of The United States? When we think about the future we don’t often have game changing events happening right before our eyes. But right now there is a lot of uncertainty and weariness wrapping its arms around us. To some degree many of us struggle with the idea of politics as usual because so many other things seem to be more important and immediate. Should we care about who’s the best candidate to run this country right now or should I be concerned more with what our families are going to eat tomorrow? We were sitting at home working, sleeping, going to the movies and updating our statuses in November of 2019 while Killer-Covid was lurking in the background like the invasion of the body snatchers. It was duplicating itself while we carried on preparing for the next day…….. Weeks passed the curve was finally flattened and then, Joe Biden said this: “IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM FIGURING OUT IF YOUR FOR ME OR TRUMP YOU AINT BLACK!!!” What!!?? Can you tip your hand anymore than this? This is the democrat party at its finest!!! This is a pandemic of foolishness and hubris. The arrogance is thick.

Are we, as black people, collectively unable to understand what Biden just said? Is it so shocking that we just can’t process it enough to speak to it, and so we let it go? Can they pimp us out that easily? Is this another case of Stockholm Syndrome? I don’t accept this!!! I wont accept this!!!

Let’s deconstruct this and look deeper into what’s really being said. Democrats want black and brown people to fall into the bloody bear trap of identity politics. Basically we’re supposed to look at everything through the filter of our pigmentation. Biden and the dems are essentially saying that we’re incapable of being independent and free thinking when it comes to the actual issues. When we should be offended and outraged by this logic, we’re looking around like boo boo the fool, asking somebody else how we should think and vote. This is why dems continue to believe that they have the black vote in their black pocket, and no that’s not a typo. This is really an abusive relationship and we have to stop being the victim. Don’t’ we have the freedom to think differently regardless of our ethnicity, without being branded as a sellout? If we say that we disagree with certain policies do we cease to be what we are as black and brown people? It was bad enough that some of us would catch heat from other black folks when we crossed the lines of so-called black thought. That somehow made us less black. To now hear Biden, an old white man, share the same sentiment is crazy!!

There’s nothing productive that can come out of this idea that we’re only good for a vote, when we fought so hard to have a voice. Those old videos that showed us being sprayed by fire-hoses and torn to shreds by trained dogs tells the story of our determination to value ourselves enough to step out of the lines that were meant to keep us in check. Too much blood was spilt in the streets to be looked at as just a number.

The Breakfast Club is a very popular Podcast/Radio Show based in New York. Charlamagne is one of the hosts on this program and it has become one of the most popular shows in the country right now. So if you want to reach the black audience, The Breakfast Club is where you go. I assume that Biden’s handlers did their homework before letting Biden loose because Charlamagne tends to be edgy, inappropriate and always probing. For someone like Biden, who’s been having what appears to be real issues, The Breakfast Club is probably not the shark tank you want him to stumble into. Of course Hillary was invited onto The Breakfast Club back when she was running as well, and the pandering was thick. Towards the end of the interview, Hillary was asked this off the cuff question “what do you always have in your purse?” Hillary responded “Hot Sauce.” Now, if you don’t know that it’s known in the black community, you’ll find a lot black woman will have a small bottle of hot sauce in their purse just in case they get caught out there in need of spicing up some food. It’s kind of a running joke that actually has some truth to it. So, for Hillary Clinton to respond to that question with lighting speed, and I mean no hesitation, it had all of us like what!!! One of the hosts even said you know it sounds like your pandering, to which Hillary’s response was “is it working??” Hillary threw everything she had at the wall and it didn’t stick. She was not likable and she lost. Fast-forward to Biden’s blackface moment and you have to know that you can’t keep your real feelings down for too long. What you really believe will manifest itself, and at some point, float back up to the surface. It’s also important to note that this does not fall under the category of a Biden gaffe. This is a heart issue, not a mistake. It’s a plantation mindset. The real question is, will black folks, in love with the democrats, hold their noses and continue with things as normal or will they seek to escape the plantation?

Why Charlamagne didn’t grill Biden in real time for his commits is interesting. It could be that Charlamagne was in shock or unprepared. My guess, however, is that it wasn’t any of those reasons at all, but more likely a protection of their only viable candidate. The left leaning media has been virtually silent, or very soft on how they’ve reported this revealing story thus far. It’s like they have Biden hooked up to a respirator to save him from political suicide.

Being Woke is starting to take on a totally different meaning now. You can’t un-hear the heart of the establishment. It’s systematic, it’s real, it’s ugly and its directives haven’t changed over many, many decades. The message is loud and clear, they tell you what to think, how to act, and what makes you black. Do we matter, or are we pawns in one big chess game? Are we free to think or are we robots? President Trump is far from a perfect man. Sometimes he says more than he should, he often gets in his own way and he can be brash and bullish at times, but he’s the right man for the job, no doubt. If there is such a thing as being woke for real then get woke people!!! This isn’t a game!! We’ve been taken for granted far too long and we need to demand change. We are not for sale; this is not the slave trade, where we’re auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Remember that you can be a freethinking human being. We can vigorously disagree with each other’s political leanings and still respect each other as people. But don’t tell me that what makes me black is determined by my political views because the freedom to choose is what makes this country great.

Lastly, although Biden did apologize for his recent commits, we’re not in a position to determine if he’s being genuine or not. What we do have is a history of very interesting commits from Biden, such as a statement he made back in the 1970’s, where he expressed concerns for busing black and white kids to help desegregate public schools. Biden said: “Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point. We have got to make some move on this.” In the 90’s Biden was instrumental in the crime bill that led to the mass incarceration of black people. During the passing of this bill he was quoted saying, “Lock the S.O.B.’s Up!!” Now I’m not saying that he was referring to just black people, but we were definitely the most impacted. So now when you hear him being asked by Charlamagne at the end of the interview to come back to the show because there were a lot more questions to be answered, Biden has an arrogant response. His response to Charlamagne’s request was “If you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump then YOU AIN’T BLACK!!!”

This is the epitome of a party that has a “you owe me and I own you” mentality. Don’t fall for the okie-doke homie!!
